Calls for united front in EHP

EASTERN Highlands Governor Julie Soso wants all development partners and stakeholders in the province to work in partnership with the provincial government.
Soso made the comment yesterday in her first speech at the swearing-in of provincial assembly members in Goroka.
“Women, youth, non-governmental organisations, public servants and stakeholders must collaborate, consult, cooperate and coordinate for effective partnership in delivering services to the people.”
She called for good governance and prudent management of people’s resources.
Soso called on the eight open MPs to exercise transparency and accountability in the implementation of their district services improvement programme money.
She said they must remain united to bring development to the people.
“United we stand, divided we fall – there was no cooperation among leaders in the previous regime.
“I expect you all to cooperate and bring the province to next level.”
