A CANDIDATE for the president’s seat in the Fayantina local level government election in Henganofi, Eastern Highlands, says campaign is progressing well.
Steven Ahiko said a total of 47 candidates were contesting the Fayantina LLG president’s seat.
He said that 39 of them were from lower Fayantina and eight from upper Fayantina.
The current president was from lower Fayantina, he said.
Ahiko predicted that the next president would come from lower Fayantina.
“Since a lot of candidates are contesting in the Upper, one of the eight candidates from lower Fayantina has the likely chance of victory. And I am one of the hot candidates and I am tirelessly moving in four directions of Fayantina LLG for my campaign runs,” he said.
Ahiko said that the Henganofi LLG elections were progressing well and the people were expecting safe peaceful elections, unlike in the past.
