Canoe race on in Pari

PARI village outside Port Moresby will host a number of activities, including a canoe race.
They are inviting B grade canoes for the race   on Saturday.
The race is part of activities aimed at remembering former Motu Koita Assembly councillor the late Mataio Nou Taboro.
His family has put together activities to remember Taboro for his legacy as a leader in Pari for 26 years and for building what is now the Motu Koita Assembly.
There are cash prizes worth K3,000 to be distributed to the winners for the first to fifth places.
The ultimate winner will also walk away with the Cup.
