THE Capital Insurance Group Ltd has appointed two independent directors to its board, chairman Michael Koisen says.
The two directors are Charles Lee, pictured, and Sundar Ramamurthy.
Koisen made the announcement yesterday saying the two met the requirements of the Bank of Papua New Guinea and also to the agreement of the shareholders at the next annual general meeting.
Capital Insurance Group Ltd is a wholly owned Papua New Guinean company with operations in PNG, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga and Nauru.
It is the only Pacific owned insurer with an international rating.
Koisen said: “The board of directors are delighted that Charles and Sundar are joining the group board.
“We are confident in their abilities to add further expertise and experience to our team at this important time for the group.”
Lee said he was happy to have been given the opportunity to be a part of the dynamic team at CIGL.
He said he looked forward to contributing meaningfully towards improved product offerings for clients throughout the Pacific Region and enhance shareholder value.
Ramamurthy said he was looking forward to participating in the continued success of Capital Insurance group in the Pacific and working to promote sound, practical and suitable products for customers in the Pacific.
