Capital Insurance welcomes acting CEO

Business

JEREMY Norton has been appointed the acting group chief executive officer of Capital Insurance Group (CIG) effective from last Monday.
Chairman Michael Koisen announced Norton’s appointment following the resignation of David Lee.
Koisen said: “Lee provided strong leadership during his tenure, and we acknowledge his positive contribution to CIG and its subsidiaries.
“The board has accepted his resignation due to the pandemic restrictions and his inability to travel back from New Zealand.”
He said Norton previously held the position of Group chief operating officer.
“He (Norton) has strong technical, commercial and leadership background with more than 20 years insurance industry knowledge across a broad range of disciplines in both life and general insurance, including the position of regional general-manager for Tower Insurance Pacific,” Koisen said.
“He has held other senior executive roles in the insurance industry.
“We are confident that Norton will continue to lead the team and work with the board, its shareholders and customers to deliver value to the hundreds of thousands of Papua New Guinean shareholder members that CIG represents.”
