TOMORROW’S Capital Rugby Union matches are expected to stir up fire as the competition resumes after three weekends of break due to the Oceania Cup challenge which ended last week.

Premier rivals Nova take on Juggernauts while Spartans see off Kemele Construction University Piggies at the Monier Rugby Park.

The Nova pack, under coach Kori Chan are determined to repeat some of the best wins they had during the past two games.

Returning from the recent Oceania Cup challenge, potential starters in the front would be tight forwards Mick Rau, hooker Joshua Vakona and Kapua Kapua with Elipema Kini running at lock and veteran Douglas Guise leading the backs alongside happy feet Tivaum Gigimat and Manu Guise.

Juggernauts with enforcers Frank Jnr Gabi and Wesley Rooney will be leading their boys against Nova to seal a win for the season and to improve their standing to earn a spot before the finals approach.

Meanwhile, Piggies, currently 5th on the ladder with just one point ahead of Juggernauts on 6th spot, will have the likes of Willie Rikis, Wesley Thomas, George Hoki and Samoan Tui Fifiato add weight to their forward pack while fly-half Koini Kidi and half-back Jackson Pato to feature prominently in the backline against a much younger Spartans side.

Pukpuks Ryan Sambath is said to be a potential player for the Piggies this Saturday.

On Sunday, CRU leaders Trukai Harlequins take on Lasallians while the PNG Ports Wanderers go head to head with Motuan Warriors.
