Capital rugby union names two sides for provincial championships

THE Capital Rugby Union’s trial match to finalise the Boromas and Gaigais teams for the PNGRFU Provincial Championships next month was played at the Sir John Guise Stadium last Saturday.
Hopefuls from the CRU competition competed for a spot in one of the two teams to represent the nation’s capital at the championships.
The provincial championships are scheduled start to on Saturday, and will see teams compete in three respective conferences: Southern, Northern and New Guinea Islands. Southern conference consists of CRU’s Boromas and Gaigais, Daru Stingrays and Oro Fuzzy Wuzzy Angles.  The Southern conference matches will be played at the Sir John Guise Stadium on Saturday, the games will be played over a week.
