AIR Niugini has given its domestic fleet a new look and to give greater comfort for passengers.

The airline continues with its modernisation programme with changes and improvements made to the aircraft’s cabin.

It includes new seating arrangement in the economy and business classes.

Two Fokker-100 and a Dash 8-300 series aircraft have been upgraded with improvements to the cabin.

The seats are more comfortable,  with more leg room and bigger overhead lockers for carry on luggage.

General manager commercial Dominic Kaumu said work was being carried out on aircraft servicing domestic routes as there had been concerns that too much focus was given to improving international flights.

“We want to show that we are looking after our domestic customers as well, and not only focused on the international fleet,” he said.
