IT is insulting to the people of Nipa for Kopeap to claim a staggering K12,000 compensation for the death of his cat on the Highlands highway (The National, Jan10).
The claim is outrageous, disgraceful, shameful, shocking and offensive to the Nipa people. Leaders from Nipa and Kutubu must condemn such acts of insanity displayed by individuals driven by egotism and selfishness.
Lazy individuals like Kopeap must dirty their hands and till the land that they own in their villages; work hard and be productive rather than roam the highways tarnishing the good name of Nipa and Kutubu and Southern Highlands as a whole.
He does not own the national highway nor does he have the right to disrupt the movement of traffic.
