Cats, Koboni clash

Sports

THE youthful Bomana Cats face another tough challenge this weekend against Koboni in their Esiloan Port Moresby AFL round 13 fixture at the Colts Oval on Sunday.
The Cats suffered a 39-point loss (62-23) last week at the hands of an improved Gordon Kokofas but will look to atonement for their last effort against Koboni.
The devils are no-nonsense campaigners with a wealth of experience and stamina to carry see through four quarters of football. The manner in which they smashed the helpless Gereka Bombers by 146 points last week means they are in great form.
Although the Cats have brilliant footballers in Kataha Seewee, Kelly Kaugla, Peter Lavong, MacKenzie Kamang, Jackson Nawi and John Susuve Jr, their hope for an upset will depend on their mental toughness.
The Demons’ main weapon will be young centreman Hapeo Bobogi who has been playing positive footy of late with his dazzling speed and hand skills.
Bobogi get backing from ruckman Nason Benjamin, Alphonse Major Jambarufo, Michael Macca, Brendan Beno, Herald Kali and Douglas Lai Jr to put Koboni on course for another win.
