CCA backs league at district level

COCA-COLA Amatil PNG Limited has pledged its support for rugby league at the district and provincial level.
This was revealed last Sunday by CCA Highlands region marketing co-ordinator William Darius after presenting 30 T-shirts and 24 caps to the Hagen Doa Rugby League team participating in the Western Highlands Governors Cup challenge.
Darius said CCA had already given K1.5 million to the NRL bid and this donation was part of promoting rugby league in PNG.
He said the company had great faith in rugby league players because it has promoted a lot of local players.
He added that CCA was proud that rugby league was a national game and would always support it.
Darius said the caps and T shirts presented were to boost the morale of the players so they could be committed and serious about taking up sports, as well as change from their negative attitudes.
He also said CCA was also proud to promote their product in the Governor’s Cup and the Coca-Cola Ipatas Cup rugby league competition.
