HEALTH and HIV/AIDS Minister Michael Malabag witnessed the commitment of K200,000 to upgrade the Gabagaba aid post in Central.
He was invited by Central Governor Kila Haoda and Transport Minister and Rigo MP Ano Pala, who said the local community should take ownership of the health facility.
Malabag presented some medical equipment to the aid post and commended Haoda and Pala for working together to bring basic healthcare services to the people.
He said he was willing to work with the two leaders to improve health facilities in Central.
“People should use the aid post instead of travelling to Kwikila and Port Moresby” Malabag said.
Haoda said that with the support of Pala he planned to initiate health, education, roads and other projects for the community.
The community leaders welcomed the three parliamentarians and said their assistance would boost the delivery of goods and services in their district.
