Central family finds missing daughter

PARENTS of 18-year-old Mainohana Secondary School student Apollonia Oa were ecstatic to be reunited with their daughter who went missing on Jan 18.
The Yule Island lass from Central province came to Port Moresby for her Grade 10 examination last October but she did not return to her relatives’ home in Morata 3.
Last Wednesday, Peter and Leontine Oa approached The National for help to find their daughter after lodging a report with the police.
Ater news broke of her disappearance the following day, other family members and friends helped in the search for Apollonia.
According to her parents, she had gone out with some friends but did not tell her relatives whom she was staying with in Morata 3.
Mr Oa said his daughter was sighted last Thursday in a shop in Hohola by relatives who took her back to their home in Tokarara.
Last Friday, the happy couple came to The National again, with their daughter in tow, to express their sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the search for Apollonia.
The family will remain another week in the city to settle her Grade 11 school fees for the new academic year before returning to their village.
