Central games begin

THE Central province games got off to a good start yesterday at Laloki High School outside Port Moresby with teams from Rigo, Kairuku, Hiri, Abau and Goilala turning up in full force to contest for a spot in the Central select side to the PNG games in October.
The games which will run for the course of the week ending on Friday will see athletes compete in volleyball, netball, basketball, soccer and track events.
The volleyball games wasted no time in getting started with men’s and women’s divisions hitting it off on a high.
Kairuku were leading the volleyball points ladder in both division on the first day.
