THE annual Central netball tournament will be held from July 8-12 at the Rita Flynn courts in Port Moresby.

The juniors tip off on July 8 and seniors on July 10.

Team affiliation is K100 per team (senior and junior) with the players registrations at K6 and K12 respectively.

The deadline for affiliation is June 30 and player registrations is on July 7.

Late registrations will not be entertained to avoid any disappointment or inconvenience caused in producing the draws.

The age grades for the junior division are Under-10, U13, U15, U17 and U21.

Teams are expected to organise proof of age through birth certificates or other relevant documents. This also applies to masters (40 years and over).

The association is also monitoring the number of teams competing with bigger villages like Hula, Kalo, Kapari, Maopa, Paramana and Saroa to fill in two teams each while others with a team each in all divisions.

Last season’s champions in the A grade were Kamali, whose most recent product was PNG Pepes Tau Galewa.

All registration and affiliation payments should be made to treasurer Ati Rawali.

The association executives are appealing to business houses in Central and Port Moresby including Central politicians to support the women in netball.

Those who are interested should contact vice-president Margaret Simon on 7245 9178, secretary Dabu Tanu on 7184 1173 or treasurer Rawali on 7108 3388 for more information.
