THE Hardware Haus Central Province Premier Rugby League entered its playoffs at the Murray Barracks Oval in Port Moresby over the weekend.
The competition which kicked off on Sept 27 is into its seventh week of competition.
Central Province Premier Rugby League competition chairman Jack Kedea said the competition will head into its eliminations this week.
“The winners of each division will play the losers in the eliminations,” Kedea said. “However, the bottom-four teams will bow out if they lose in the eliminations.
“The top-four teams will have a second chance. The winners will advance into the semifinals.”
Kedea said three weeks remain before the grand final.
“So far, games have been competitive. Teams are putting in strong performances,” he said.
Results: A-Grade – Goilala 18 Hiri West 10, Koiari 12 Amazon Bay 0, Aroma Coast 20 Kairuku 0, Rigo 16 Hiri East 10; Under-20 – Aroma Coast 10 Koiari 8, Hiri East 8 Hiri West 6, Goilala 14 Kairuku 0, Rigo 10 Amazon Bay 8.
