Central to begin counting

COUNTING in Central province begins on Monday and is expected to last three weeks, according to assistant election manager Sarah Yanderave.
She said polling in the four electorates of Kairuku-Hiri, Goilala, Rigo and Abau should be completed today.
Counting for Abau will be at the Goldie army barracks, Rigo at Kwikila Secondary School, Goilala at Taurama barracks and counting for the Kairuku-Hiri open plus the Central regional seats will be held at Murray barracks.
She said counting for Abau was shifted from the Kupiano district  office to Goldie barracks for security reasons and candidate were okay with that.
Yanderave said 29 boxes will be counted for the Abau open seat, 20 for Rigo open, 39 for Goilala open and 38 for Kairuku-Hiri open.
