THE Balimo Vocational Center has received K2.5 million from the Education Department.
The money will go towards a guesthouse project.
The department said the guesthouse was the overall goal to help realise technical vocational education and training courses.
The money is also for equipment and resources in the district institution to help those ambitious enough to pursue a higher level of technical skill studies in full-time post
certificate courses
The primary goal of the guesthouse is also to provide education and training through courses that will help develop the rural community.
It will also look at ways to alleviate poverty and empower people through integral human development.
These can be achieved through the provision of a   variety of skills tailored for eco-tourism training programmes in the Middle Fly district for the benefit of the province.
