THE Oro chamber of commerce and industry is encouraging people to participate in business opportunities. Chamber president Philip Taudevin said Oro experienced power outages daily. “There is probably not much difference between Oro and other provinces in experiencing almost daily power outages which usually last the whole day,” he said.
“No business would think of operating without generators except Government entities. “Oro is a good province for people to feel secure, operate in a prosperous business climate generated by a substantial input into the general economy by the ever-expanding activities of the Higaturu Oil Palm. “Law and order, an endemic problem throughout PNG, has seen remarkable improvements over recent years to the extent the cowboy town cliché is no longer in existence.
“Much of this can be attributed to the efforts and hard work by the provincial administration.”
