Mea, 18, broke the old record which stood at 130kg, but Dobi went on to lift 135kg.

According to her coach Hebou Asi, Mea was in tears and filled with emotions after realising she was the world champion in her category and could not believe her achievement.
“As soon as the PNG flag was raised at the medal presentation ceremony and background of the PNG national anthem Dobi’s eyes filled with tears as it was very emotional for her,”   Asi said.
She was welcomed at the airport by her family members, her school mates from Reds Scar High School in Central province, mom Mea Morea and dad Mea and other supporters from Porebada.
The youngster thanked her major sponsor Telikom PNG, her coach, her school, her friends and her family and God for helping achieve her goal.
