Change health authority’s CEO

Letters

THE Eastern Highlands health authority’s chief executive officer’s four-year term expires on Feb 13.
The health system in Eastern Highlands needs a total revival because it has one of the lowest health indicators in the country.
The stakeholders in the province, including doctors and nurses in the health services want nothing but a new CEO.
However, as expected, the health authority in its last meeting has reappointed the current CEO to act on the position after his term expires.
He will continue to issue threats and discipline staff who want to expose him.
We, the doctors and nurses, are fed up and are likely to leave Eastern Highlands because our plea for a change has fallen on deaf ears.
