Changing our perspective on life
The National – Thursday, July 7, 2011
AS written in the Bible’s Book of Genesis, God created Adam first.
From his rib, Eve was created.
As you read on, you see the roles, principles and responsibilities for both sexes as mandated by the Creator.
If you ask a person: “Is a male the opposite of a female, left the opposite of right and negative the opposite of positive?”
The answer is “yes”.
If a male only thinks of a female as the opposite sex, indirectly, this gives access to dislike, misunderstanding and violence leading to marriage problems.
But, if he sees the female as his complement and they are inter-dependent on each other and not just his opposite, a two-way process of respecting each other is formed.
Now, let us use the same principle on negatives and positives.
If negative is only seen as the opposite of positive, the process of development will be dysfunctional and slow.
But, if negative and positive are also seen as complementing and inter-dependent, the process of development will function effectively and excel.
If every Papua New Guinean were to correct each mistake and change their views on doing things right, these changes will lead to development.
Learn from past mistakes but do not dwell on them because they will only drag us back.
For every positive change we now make will see us progress in leaps and bounds in future.
