Chaos in Chuave

Letters

THE Chuave people are
law-abiding and peace-loving people.
After over 58 years growing up in Chuave, I have never ever witnessed the people from the three local level government – Chuave, Elimbari and Siane – attacking and fighting each other over an election.
Since 2012-2017 the conduct of elections in Chuave has changed dramatically.
People have now taken the risk to hijack ballot boxes and swap these ballot boxes with their own ballot boxes containing “marked” ballot papers.
They have gone to the extreme of impersonating policemen in uniforms and even driving a police vehicle.
I request that while foreign security forces are on ground, the impersonators and their other unidentified accomplices must be arrested forthwith and locked up in jail so peace can be maintained.
If these impersonators are still at large there will be further retaliation from the aggrieved parties.
