HOPE for Poor Kids Care Inc founder and chairman Martin Piason says thousands of fellow Papua New Guinean kids lack basic needs in life.
Piason runs the Hope for Poor Kids Care, a Port Moresby-charity organisation that cares for more than 500 orphans and homeless kids.
“Serving people and helping the needy ones is one of my passions and I will continue to be the channel for blessing, especially to the homeless kids in Port Moresby,” he said.
Piason made the comments after Elisio Group of Companies Ltd supported Hope for Poor Kids Care with K2,000 worth of goods and a cheque for K20,000 on Thursday.
Piason, in receiving the donation, urged business houses, Government entities and private agencies to help the poor kids.
He said he was worried that even after 46 years of Independence, many in PNG were still struggling to live. “Everyone needed to work together to end the problem of street kids,” he said. Hope for Poor Kids Care has seven branches – Garden Hills, Baruni, Rainbow, Hohola, Morata, 9-Mile and Erima – in Port Moresby.
