Charity run to give money to hospitals

THE Islands Petroleum Charity colour run has again gain support from corporate sponsors for this year with K120,000 to be committed for the event in August.
Islands Petroleum lubricant engineer Raybon Tamegal announced that Trukai Industries will join East New Britain Resource Groups and Avenell Engineering Systems and committed K30,000 each as platinum sponsors, East West Transport will contribute K20,000 as gold sponsor and silver sponsor Traisa Transport will give K10,000.
While presenting T-shirts to Traisa Transport, Tamegal mentioned that they (Traisa Transport) have been supporting the event over the last three years in Lae.
He announced that the nominated recipients of the proceeds from the event for this year were Nonga General Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital in East New Britain, Kavieng Hospital, Kimbe Hospital, Modilon Hospital in Madang, Butibum Primary School in Lae, Alotau Hospital, Popondetta Hospital and Kaugere medical centre in Port Moresby.
He said in Lae, Island Petroleum Ltd has decided to take schools on board for the first year and the next for health as they believe education is as important as health, especially for the children.
