Check alleged corruption

Letters

THE alleged corruption of K2 million by senior public servant which has been circulated in the social media (Facebook) for over a month has not seen any investigation done by the minister responsible
or the Police Minister Bryan Kramer.
Prime Minister James Marape, in a welcomed response to a stagnant 2019 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) score presented at the official Transparency International PNG (TIPNG) launch on Jan 30, has vowed to have a fully Independent Commission Against
Corruption (ICAC) established before the end of this year and promised to fight corruption in order
to fulfil the catchphrase “Take
Back PNG” and “Make PNG the richest black Christian nation on Earth”.
This needs urgent investigation to determine whether the alleged amount was spent on intended purpose or misappropriated?
The most intriguing part is when a cheque was drawn on Dec 25 when it was Christmas and the Government books were already closed.
Marape emphasised “Take back PNG” and if his ministers and secretaries remain silent over such corruption, how does he expect us to weed out corruption and “Take back PNG”?
Prime minister is now challenged to investigate this crook deals by officer holders within the respective departments.
It’s about time to send the white collar thieves to Bomana.

Take Back PNG,
PNG
