The HEAD teacher of Rovarova Aroma Independence School in Central has commended the Digicel PNG Foundation for the skills attained in a three-week community-based teacher training programme that ended in the capital city last week.

Voi Puana thanked the Foundation and its partner the Unity Foursquare Church for the pre-school level training received through the Isi Learning programme.

“Pre-school is the base where education and personal development of a child begins and is the first step into formal education.

Thus, necessary skills and best training practices are needed to guide and groom a child in his or her thirst for knowledge.

I commended Digicel PNG Foundation as this is what we’ve gained from the training and are prepared to utilise in our respective Community Learning Centres (CLC),” Puana said.

The Isi Learning programme had attracted more than 40 community based teachers in Port Moresby.
