A YOUNG tourist was moved to tears over children’s song on his recent visit.

Edwin Herlying originally from Colombia but resides in London was part of the group from Caledonian Sky, a cruise ship  carrying 100 tourists that visited Lababia village in Salamau, Morobe, on Tuesday.

Edwin was reduced to tears after hearing school children of Lababia Primary School singing their welcome song.

The welcome song had most of the tourists crying but Edwin caught this paper’s attention because he cried hard all throughout the entire song and even afterwards.

“I am crying because it is a beautiful touching song. It brings out the emotion in me. The lyrics and the tune of the song are beautiful. It basically describes our trips, what we are seeing and the memorable memories that we hope to keep for a long time.  I have travelled half the world and seeing people who are just like me it’s amazing to me,” he said.

Another tourist, Peter from London, added: “It’s amazing because you can see that the children have put a lot of effort into welcoming us. And most of us are crying over this song sung by this children.”
