IT was a special day for young patients at the Port Moresby General Hospital last Saturday.
Thanks to Nambawan Super Ltd, children were presented with toys and goodies by more than 10 staff.
Accompanying the visiting group was Santa Claus, who brought smiles to the many young faces at the children’s ward.
Manager projects and public relations officer Jeffery Levongo said the event was the first good cheer event for the festive occasion.
He said with Christmas just days away, it was a time for giving and sharing.
Levongo said the initiative by the company’s public relations division was made possible via contributions from the staff.
He said although the atmosphere at hospitals could be lonely and painful, such visits livened up patients.
Children were treated to ice cream, lollies, cakes and fluffy gifts.
