Chimbu budget

Letters

I was happy to see in Friday’s newspaper that Chimbu has passed its 2018 budget of K218m focusing on education and infrastructure.
We won’t see the result now but in five to 10 years’ time.
We the people of Chimbu must put aside our political differences and work together with governor Michael Dua Bogai to achieve his goal.
Most of our infrastructure services like schools, health facilities, police stations, road, bridges and so on have been deteriorating over the years.
Past governors and MPs have turned a blind eye.
In Yuage Ward 7, Kup LLG in Kerowagi where I come from, I have noticed that road and bridges used in the 1990s no longer exist.
Health centres and aid posts like Konmugl, Gurumuk, and Bekwanike are no longer in operation.
Kup police station is no longer in operation.
I am happy for governor’s priority in infrastructure as I believe that we in Kup will be given some attention.
