A SPECIAL induction course for the Simbu provincial assembly members proved to be a success to better understand their roles and responsibilities.

It was an initiative by the provincial capacity building and good governance for local level government (LLG) under the provincial affairs and secretariat services.

It was held at  Mingende pastoral centre last Sept19 to 24 and funded by the 20LLGs at  K2,000 per LLG.

A delegation from the Vision 2050 centre led by strategic adviser Joseph Sukwianomb visited the training and commended the initiative.

The team highlighted the importance of service delivery  tied to the seven pillars of the vision.

Chairman of provincial capacity building and good governance Siwi Kuman said this was to ensure public office holders fully understood their roles and responsibilities.

Kuman said the approach towards capacity building would be continued every year to complement the goals of Vision 2050.
