A MEDICAL team from Guangdong in China is in PNG to help promote and treat oral health, team leader Prof Huancei Lin says.

The 11 Chinese dental staff, including doctors and associate professors from the School of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University and Hospital of Stomatology, arrived yesterday. They visited a dental clinic at Port Moresby General Hospital to see facilities.

The coordinator of dental health and deputy chief dentist for southern region Elenise Falealuga-Ovia and Dr John Kulu accompanied the team to see the facilities.

“We are so excited to come to PNG and see the beautiful place and people. We are so pleased to have this opportunity of working with local patients today” Lin said.

The team will be at the hospital for two days.

They leave for the Solomon Islands tomorrow.
