THE National Cultural Commission (NCC) has helped a church choir to sing in Engan language in the United States of America (USA) this June.
Last Thursday, NCC contributed K10, 000 to the End Times Swallows singing ministry, a gospel choir that is a part of the Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church in Papua New Guinea.
The End Times Swallows is going to represent PNG and four divisions of the South Pacific Region in one of the SDA international conferences in USA.
Executive director for NCC Steven Kilanda encouraged the singing ministry to sing more songs in their native languages to preserve and safeguard their culture.
Leader of the choir Rungi Pingi said the funding would go a long way in helping the End Times Swallows with their fundraising to represent the SDA churches in PNG and the four divisions of the South Pacific Region.
Pingi said the choir group will be in USA from June 6-11.
