Christmas shopping

THE RH (Rimbunan Hijau) Hypermarket at Gordon, Port Moresby, National Capital District (NCD) was flooded with customers doing early Christmas shopping yesterday using their Christmas vouchers.
The National was given 15 minutes by the shop management to interview several of the customers as not to stem the movement of customers.
Customer Vanessa Waiya said: “Christmas in RH is convenient and I find it very easy because of the voucher from RH given at work.
“I have also heard from my neighbours that they also have shopping vouchers from RH to do shopping.
“I am very happy that with the voucher, I can get everything for the Christmas celebrations with the family. The prices are also good especially when you get things in packs. For example, when you get a six pack, it costs much less than getting one or two items.”
Waiya encouraged customers to shop at RH because of its low prices and ongoing Christmas specials.
Joyslane Jandep who came from 14-Mile outside of Port Moresby to shop with her family said: “We are here to do shopping with our free voucher.
“On other days we find that items are expensive but on Christmas, prices come down and we can do our shopping with shopping vouchers.”
Other supermarkets which The National visited including TST Boroko, and Tango – Tokarara were full of customers doing shopping for Christmas.
