Christmas worship, not celebration

Letters

LET me make this clear. I do not believe Jesus would care on which day we worshipped his birthday – whether it’s the 25th, 26th or whether it’s April, May, June or July, or whenever it might be, as long as you worship him.
But here’s what has happened: We have taken away the sacredness of Christmas and instead of continuing to make Christmas a “worship” day, we have made it a “celebration” day.
See? You hear people say, we are going to celebrate Christmas.
That’s wrong.
We should never celebrate Christmas.
Christmas is a day of worship, not for a celebration.
