THE newly-elected president of the Oceania Football Confederation, David Chung, slipped into PNG quietly yesterday.
Chung, who is also the PNG Football Association president, returned for the first time after he was elevated to the top post in the Oceania region.
The Malaysian-born president was elected during an extraordinary OFC general meeting last month.
The OFC highest post was left vacant after incumbent Reynald Temarii was suspended by the international football body, FIFA, for alleged bribery scandal.
One of Chung’s first tasks as the OFC president will be commissioning a soccer field in Kundiawa before attending a PNGFA executive meeting in Port Moresby on Sunday.
On the agenda for Sunday’s meeting are confirming men and women soccer coaches to prepare for the Pacific Games in Noumea, New Caledonia.
Other matters on the agenda include the PNGFA president’s post.
