Church baptises three female inmates at Baisu

Faith

THREE women were among the 44 inmates baptised by the Revival Church of PNG at Baisu prison in Mt Hagen this month.
The church members visited the inmates to share the gospel.
Pastor Peter Dup shared a scripture reading from Acts 2:38 in which the Disciple Peter said: “Each one of you must turn away from your sins and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven, any you will receive God’s gift, the Holy Spirit.”
Dupi said John 14:6 said that Jesus “is the way, the truth and the life” and no one goes to the Father except through him.
Dupi said the devil made the inmates commit sins. “But God’s free gift to eternal life is Jesus Christ,” he said. “People who feel that they have missed out should confess their sins and be baptised and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
Prisoner Shadrack Paul thanked the church members for visiting and providing them the opportunity to know God better.
He said the church was changing lives through the power of God.
