Church celebrates anniversary

CHRISTIAN Life Church (CLC) of Papua New Guinea celebrated its 50th anniversary in Port Moresby for one week, with a visit by the founding father of the church in Papua New Guinea.
CLC founder Rev John Pasterkamp and wife Coby were the main celebrants during the weeklong programme – that ended on Sunday.
Pasterkamp said he was pleased to see how the movement had grown and reached all the provinces in the country.
He said he was only 23 years old when he came to the country as a missionary in 1969.
Pasterkamp said he was inspired by Jesus’ urging to his disciples to go out to the world and spread the Gospel and he left his native Poland to travel to PNG.
