Church, department work on Christian studies curriculum

THE ELCPNG (Lutheran Church) in partnership with the Education Department realise the significance of Christian studies in PNG.
The department appreciated the work of the ELCPNG education division and endorsed the “Rainbow Curriculum” to be used in all schools.
The curriculum ranges from A-E and caters from elementary to Grade 12, including colleges, seminaries and universities.
It was launched at Teptep, Yus council in Kabwum involving 13 primary schools under the “begin a journey in education with God’s favour”. ELCPNG national trainer and researcher of the programme Ps Osikua Tingkeo said the curriculum was the fundamental element for firm foundation in students’ learning.
“Success of any schools is measured with total academic excellence, hence providing quality Christian education to all children as a result provides better grade point average,” he said.
“It is also a shared responsibility for district education coordinators, head teachers, teachers and the communities in the school vicinity.”
