Church finally complete

AFTER 36 years, United Church members in Gaunomu in Rigo, Central, can now worship in a permanent church structure.
The church building was completed with a K50,000 grant from the district development authority.
Community leader Eruna Varuna said the church congregation previously worshipped in a semi-permanent structure.
“In 1987, the original foundation was set up,” he said.
“After that, we erected the same structure which were semi-permanent and in 1995, we demolished that building and on the same foundation, erected a new one.
“It has taken us this long to build a real church.”
Rigo MP Lekwa Gure said the district was assisting other villagers in the district such Kalo and Kamali.
