ELEMENTARY prep students at the Sevese Morea Elementary School in Port Moresby were all smiles last Tuesday when the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints donated school kits to them.
The school kits contained pencils, rubbers, ruler, sharpener, colour pencils, scissors and books.
Students were also given hygiene kits containing a tooth brush, toothpaste and a towel as part of the church’s humanitarian work in the country.
Voluntary country welfare manager Desmond Bundu told The National that other schools would also benefit as the church saw the need to assist those schools said to be underprivileged.
The schools – which will receive their school kits by the end of the week – include Ororo, Philip Aravure, Baruni and Bomana primary schools.
