Church hosts camp to mark day

YOUTHS in Buang, Morobe, were encouraged to take the Gospel forward during a recent Bible study camp to mark the 15th year of local Pentecostal reformation.
The camp was hosted by St Yapiana congregation of Moniau village in Evangelical Lutheran Buang circuit.
It was held under the theme “Old has gone and new has come” referenced from the Book of Isaiah 43:18-19.
Chairman Bruce Bulang said the camp marked 15 years since the village was anointed on July 27, 2004, where a people started speaking in tongues; a phenomenon which was attributed to the Holy Spirit.
“They (villagers) spoke in tongues and realised the past mistakes of their ancestors, confessed and repented,” he said. “The fire of the Holy Spirit as spoken of in Zechariah 2:5 is believed to have come over everyone.
“It was the start of a major revival breakthrough in the area.”
Bulang said the village’s youth were inspired to spread the Gospel and live by its teachings.
The camp was attended by All in Christ Ministry of Gabsongkeg
village, St Barnabas youth ministry of Gabensis in Wampar, Malahang youth ministry, Mambum Lutheran youth of Mambum village in Buang, and Lutheran students from Bugandi Secondary School and National Polytechnic Institute.
The camp was supported by Lae Biscuit Company, Live Wire and Panamex Pacific Ltd.
