MEN are the foundation of the family and country and building them up to take that responsibility is one of the main aims of a church in Papua New Guinea.
The Nazarene Church Men’s Ministry pioneer translator Leslie Kewa presented a sponsorship to two lay students studying at the Melanesian Bible College in Tuman in Anglimp-South Waghi, Jiwaka.
The sponsorship covers boarding and tuition fees.
“Men are the foundation of a family unit,” Kewa said.
“If there’s reconciliation taking place between a man and woman, there’ll be productivity.”
The funds for the scholarship were raised at men’s national convention in Mendi, Southern Highlands, in January.
Men’s ministry executive Yambon Moiam said K117,000 was pledged to two educational institutions, a world mission and the convention’s host district.
