Church plans awareness for United Life Insurance

A CHURCH will begin rolling out awareness and research programmes for its United Life Insurance Plan in the National Capital District.
The United Church aims to sign up 5000 life insurance cover members by January next year.
It will be rolling out the project in September and October after the awareness and research are completed. Project manager Biango Buai said this would allow them to create awareness and to understand how they could provide the products and service to clients.
“The awareness and market research is to see how people can best access the service and what their issues about the products are.
“(It is to find out) what problems will make it difficult to access the service and what other financial services do people need.”
Buai said it would also help them know if the people could afford the insurance premium and the best locations to sign up for the insurance cover. He said a team would be sent to Hela in June.
In its current model, 300 people from the United Church have already signed up for the life insurance. “The church members are very interested in the project and we are receiving text messages and calls from them since the launching of the project.”
