Church to change focus in services
The National, Thursday 6th September, 2012
THE Evangelical Lutheran church of Papua New Guinea will change its focus on the transformation through gospel and the services it provides.
That was the theme of a three-day forum.
Speaking during the opening programme, Head Bishop Giegere Wenge told participants from the United States, Germany, Asia, Australia and Papua New Guinea the church would seriously look forward in transformation through its gospel and services such as Lutheran Heath Services, Lutheran Education Services and Lutheran Development Services.
He said the transformation would drive the mindset of not only Lutheran church members but the country.
Partnership forum coordinator Rev Kinim Siloi said discussion would be based on:
l Our role as partner in church mission transformation;
l Effecting transformation in people’s lives through communication in the gospel;
l Leadership transformation in all levels of the church organisation; and
l Transformation people through its social services.
The forum ended last Friday.
