MEMBERS of a church congregation in the Eastern Highlands are calling on all candidates intending to contest the July general election to make sure their backyards are clean.
In response to media reports that a certain popular musician from the Highlands region is anticipating contesting the national general election this year, the head pastor of the church called on the musician to return all musical instruments stolen from the church and sold to him.
The clergyman said it was no use someone trying to be a national leader when they are dishonest over small matters.
The church had asked him to return the full set of instruments that was sold to him at a huge discount but he had refused.
The man who sold him the stolen items is serving a jail sentence.
The musician from the Southern Highlands intends to contest the Nipa-Kutubu seat held by Philemon Embel.
