THE Consultative Implementation and Monitoring Council (CIMC) will host its two-day national development forum starting today.

The forum is divided into four sessions for both days with various speakers presenting their topics on the theme “Successful implementation of development plans and achieving the responsible sustainable development strategy”.

CIMC executive officer Wallis Yakam said CIMC hosts four regional development forums and one national forum, which basically sum up the four regional forums.

“The national development forum stimulates discussions on what the government is embarking on and provides an avenue for people to give their input and feedback through the council,” Yakam said.

She said the forum today will be looking at issues and challenges in implementing key government policies and strategies in all sectors of the community and ensuring effective systems and processes for effective implementation.

Emphasis will be on issues and challenges faced in the implementation of key government policies and strategies in the Economic sector, Social sector and Transport and Infrastructure and other public utilities.
