THE National Capital District Boxing Association invited all registered clubs in the city to take part in the NCD Governors Cup Boxing Challenge.
The NCD Governors Cup is scheduled for April 18-21.
NCD Governors Cup coordinator Junior Kaoka Raga said registered clubs and those other from provincial centres were expected to attend.
The tournament will be at the Ben Moide Hall at Murray Barracks.
Raga said in previous years the cup was open to provincial teams only but this year clubs in the NCD would also compete.
“We are giving the opportunity to NCD clubs to take part and select their teams for the PNG Games in November,” Raga said.
From the NCD Governors Cup, Team NCD will announce its team.
He said there is an open invitation to all boxing clubs or provincial teams to send their fighters for the boxing challenge. The prize money for the tournament is K15,000 for the winning club or provincial team, while K10,000 for second place and third place pockets K5,000.
