THE student representative council (SRC) of Port Moresby Business College organised a one-day sports competition for the students at PNG Institute of Public Administration yesterday.
SRC vice president Jeremiah Larsen said the event sponsored by school chairman Peter Itzap was for the students to have fun, enjoy and expose their sporting talents aside from their studies.
He said the SRC organised the students in their respective courses to play for the major award, the Chairman’s Cup.
“With the help of the chairman, we were able to purchase other trophies for the winning teams at the cost of more than K8000. We have 900 plus students and all of them were in their  respective house colours — accounting students in red, information technology in green, business management in blue, technical training certificate in yellow and tourism, hospitality and office administration in black,” Larsen said.
Larsen described the one-day sports as a day full of fun for the students and staff.
He said since the establishment of the school, there has never been any such competition.
“We have organised four different games, mixed soccer, mixed volleyball, mixed touch, netball for the ladies, and other mini games.”
