THE Port Moresby Cricket Association completed another season on Sunday with Raukele beating Poreporena in the men’s T20 final and sponsor International Training Institution has pledged to continue its support of the country’s leading domestic crickiet competition.
ITI has been supporting PMCA competition over the past six years and are happy to continue the backing, says marketing manager Semi Rose.
Semi made that statement during Sunday’s grand final at Amini Park. “ITI aim to give back to the community by investing to developed athletes and good cricketers in the country,” Rose said.
“We’re happy to help PMCA develop better cricketers.”
ITI also sponsor the Port Moresby Soccer Association’s Musa club.
ITI will be sponsoring the coming Junior tennis competition in Port Moresby in November.
“ITI is an institution that provides a learning centre for people and we also want to look out for the people around the community.”
PMCA vice-president Charles Amini was thankful for their sponsorship.
He said without the support from a sponsorship, it would not be possible to hold tournaments and competition for athletes. “This year competition was great, we spotted some really good talent and we’re happy to end a successful competition this year.”
